BAREFACED STORIES

Residents of the Kimberley – do you have a story to tell? Here’s your best opportunity to tell it as Barefaced Stories comes to Broome!

Barefaced Stories celebrates the power of storytelling in an intimate live show,

workshop series, and podcast. Barefaced Stories is a platform for real people, real stories,

really well told.

The monthly storytelling show in Perth punches well above its weight, harvesting

a line up from an international, national and local talent pool – from surgeons

and stay at home mums alongside dilettantes and deviants – all living proof that

stories are who we are. Sometimes confessional, rarely pulpit, always surprising

– guaranteed brutally frank.

Barefaced Stories Artistic Director Andrea Gibbs is coming to Broome to facilitate story telling workshops on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of June 2019. Participants then have the option to present their work at a very special performance at the Broome Civic Centre on Wednesday 19th June 2019 (www.broomeciviccentre.com.au/whats-on.aspx).

This is a unique chance for Kimberley residents to share their stories, be them heartbreaking, funny, tragic, or just plain wacky.  All comers welcome, the less experienced the better.

Participation is FREE with roughly ten positions available. To registrar your interest please email broomeciviccentre@broome.wa.gov.au or call (08) 9191 8780.

With so few positions available don’t miss out on your chance to participate in this unique and fascinating event.
