PIANO MASTERCLASS OPPORTUNITY
The Shire of Broome, the Broome Civic Centre and the Sydney International Piano Competition of Australia are thrilled to offer four free half hour piano masterclasses with internationally recognised pianist, Oxana Shevchenko.
Born in Kazakhstan, Oxana gave her first performance as a soloist with the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra at the age of nine. Oxana has since performed with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne and the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra.
Oxana made her debut recording with Delphian Records which was released in 2011, and included by Shostakovich, Mozart, Liszt, and Ravel. In 2016 Oxana was one of the top six finalists at the Sydney Piano Competition and won the prize for the best Piano Quintet.
These exclusive and exciting masterclasses will be taking place on the morning of Saturday 23rd March 2019, at the Broome Civic Centre. Applicants must be of a moderate to high level of proficiency with the piano. Each masterclass will run for half an hour with each participant.
Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 15th March 2019.
